12 advance licences a year, eliminated

The manufacturer.

Background

An established machine manufacturer with significant imported inputs, roughly 20% export and 80% domestic.

The problem

Every export order meant another Advance Authorisation — apply to DGFT, import only per SION, register at the port, then close the obligation within a time limit. Ten to twelve times a year.

What they did

Moved to MOOWR. Inputs come in under the scheme, finished machines and parts go out under it.

What happened

₹5 crore saved on raw materials, no SION adherence, no per-transaction DGFT cycle, no export-obligation clock, and materially simpler supply chain planning.

Why it matters

It speaks to manufacturers already inside another scheme and quietly frustrated by it.
